Quality Guidelines
We maintain the highest standards for the Unity ecosystem. These protocols ensure every asset on our platform is production-ready.
The Prestige Standard
At UnityGameSeller, we don't just sell code; we sell solutions. To maintain our reputation as an elite marketplace, all listings must adhere to these technical and presentation standards.
1. Technical Architecture
- Clean C# Code: All scripts must be well-commented and follow industry-standard naming conventions (PascalCase for classes/methods).
- Zero Console Errors: Assets must compile and run without any errors or critical warnings in a fresh Unity project.
- Modular Design: Avoid tightly coupled code. Use Prefabs for all UI and game elements to ensure easy integration for buyers.
- Performance Optimized: Real-time assets must be optimized for their target platforms (e.g., mobile projects must respect draw call counts).
2. Documentation Requirements
Every "Prestige" asset must include a Documentation.pdf or ReadMe.txt containing:
- Setup Guide: Step-by-step instructions on how to initialize the project.
- Dependencies: Clear list of required packages (e.g., DOTween, TextMeshPro, High Definition RP).
- Contact Info: A method for the buyer to reach you for technical support.
3. Visual Identity & Preview
First impressions lock the sale. Your listing must include:
- High-Resolution Cover Art: Professional 16:9 thumbnails that clearly represent the product.
- Raw Gameplay/Editor Shots: At least 3 screenshots showing the actual asset in action.
- Video Demo (Recommended): A short clip showing the core mechanics or visual fidelity.
4. Licensing Protocol
Merchants must own 100% of the rights to the code and assets they sell. Use of 3rd party assets (like CC0 textures or fonts) must be clearly attributed in the documentation and permitted for redistribution.Plagiarism or reselling "Asset Store" content is strictly prohibited and results in immediate account termination.
5. Submission & Audit
New listings undergo a 24-48 hour technical audit by our curators before being pushed to the public storefront. We check for file integrity, security vulnerabilities (no DLLs without source), and overall quality.
